What is the Happiness Stick (Penile Prosthesis)?
Penile prosthesis is a treatment method that we use as a definitive treatment for patients who cannot achieve erection and cannot benefit from drug therapy. Thanks to the prostheses we place inside the penis, we solve the erection problem of the patient.
What are the Penile Prosthesis Types?
There are basically two types of happiness bar. There are single-piece happiness sticks and multi-piece happiness sticks. Happiness sticks, which are multi-part, are also divided into two.
a) Happiness bars that grow in width b) Happiness bars that grow in width and length
The one-piece penile prosthesis consists of these rods that we place inside the cylinders that provide hardening in the penis. When it is one-piece, we place it on our patient's penis and when our patient wants to have intercourse, this flexible rod is corrected.
Is Penile Prosthesis Applicable to Everyone?
Penile prosthesis is a treatment method that can be applied to all patients who cannot achieve erection with other methods. It can be said that there is no patient group in which penile prosthesis can not be applied almost. It is a guaranteed and permanent treatment option.
How is Penile Implant Surgery Performed?
In the treatment of Penile Prosthesis, we place our prostheses into the cylinders that provide hardening in the penis through a small incision of approximately 2-3 cm with an operation of approximately 1 hour. After the operation, we can send our patients, whom we host in the hospital for only 1 night, to their homes after a 1-week control period.
(Assuming that our patients coming from abroad stay at the hotel, it is said that our own citizens can return to their homes after staying in the hospital for 1 night. Routine checks are carried out in the same way.)
